All gen AI apps will be developed on Straits Interactive’s Capabara platform which converts your text prompts into
functional chatbots without programming knowledge.

Learn the latest prompt techniques from our Gen AI leaders. Participants will also be taught the basics of responsible AI development, including ethics, privacy, and security techniques when building AI apps.

Identify a business problem or a public sector issue and build an AI chatbot to solve it. Transform your prompts into innovative chatbots that make a difference. Winners’ apps will be showcased during a special Awarding Ceremony.
Build on any LLM Model
The Capabara platform supports multiple Large Language Models, so you can choose to build your tools on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or any one you’re familiar with.

Registration is by team. One team representative will need to register the entire team and its team members. You will need to pay the registration fee to complete the registration. Once payment has been completed, you will receive an e-ticket which will serve as your event pass.

You will be competing by team and submitting your AI app by team, but the activities and challenge will be the same whether you register as a team of 2 or 3. Registering as a team of 2 or 3 does not affect the way your submissions are judged.
Yes! You do NOT have to be from the same school or organization to form a team.
No, you cannot compete as an individual. You must form a team of 2 or a team of 3 to join the Challenge. You must also be at least 18 years old to join.
E-tickets will be sent to the e-mail address of the team representative who registered and paid for the slots. We request the team representatives to save and share the screenshot with the rest of the members as we will be implementing a “No ticket, no entry” policy.
Unfortunately, only teams who have pre-registered and paid for their slot may join the Bootcamp and Challenge. We cannot accept walk-ins.
Yes, all participants who 1) attend the required sessions, 2) complete the activities, and 3) create and submit an AI app will receive a Certificate of Attendance after the challenge.
In addition, winners of each category will receive a certificate of recognition.
Each participant should bring his/her own laptop and make sure an internet browser is installed (e.g. Google Chrome). Participants are allowed to bring their own pocket wifi or hotspot if they wish to do so.
We request participants to join the events in business casual or smart casual.
Registration of attendance starts at 8am. Bootcamp starts at 9am. We request participants to please be at the venue at least 15 minutes before the boot camp starts.
Start with a strong use case. Pick a meaningful problem to solve and design your AI app around it carefully.

Submitted apps will be screened by a panel of judges based on standard criteria. Judging criteria will be discussed during the Bootcamp.
Submitted apps will be split between “student” and “professional” categories. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners for EACH category.
Yes, registered participants will gain access to preparatory materials via email, which include introductory guides to using the Capabara Platform, and YouTube videos on how to convert your prompts and create tools and chatbots on the Capabara platform. These resources are designed to help you start thinking creatively and technically about your submissions.
It is your responsibility to test your personal devices prior to and on the day of the Challenge, to ensure that they are able to properly run the Capabara platform. Straits Interactive will not be responsible for replacing a faulty device on the day of the Challenge.
Technical support will be limited to prompt design experts available to offer advice on how to refine your prompts for maximum impact.
